Responsibilities:

• Oversee all technical aspects of projects involving field survey and design, manage a variety of maintenance and construction projects in the field and provide specific instructions and information to other employees.
• Deliver professional engineering services on various public sector engineering projects and serve as a liaison with the contractors, vendors and/or any other personnel on various complex engineering projects.
• Respond to contractors by interpreting plans and specifications by the utilization of their engineering knowledge and experience.
• Supervise, coordinate and track all and any field site activities and provide technical instruction on construction and/or design, execute remedial action using engineering design on projects to resolve issues.
• Lead on-site junior engineers and inspectors to successfully observe work in progress and ensure that project records are properly maintained.
• Monitor and maintain the progress of the project in relation with the proposal cost and schedule and hold any progress meetings as required.
• Strictly implement and follow company and project safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Engineering License in the State of New York, with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience working on public sector projects, preferably with NYCDDC/NYC DOT/NYS DOT/PANYNJ, or similar on projects involving highways, bridges, and street and structural work.
• Ability to understand and interpret written specifications, plans, and construction documents for work orders and build documents.
• Ability to effectively and tactfully communicate with clients, supervisors, and inspectors regarding specifications and qualification test results.
• Detail-oriented, with capability to detect non-conformities during testing procedures and complete detailed reports within a timely manner.
• A valid, clean driver's license and personal vehicle to travel to job sites is preferred.
